Bettersnaptool wont download12/11/2023 Besides being able to place windows exactly where I want them with a simple keyboard shortcut (or Drag Areas which I don't use), this app has a couple other features that are actually the most valuable to me: moving and resizing windows by simply holding modifyer key(s) and placing the cursor over any part of the window, whether the window is active or not. (And if I were to use Snap Areas, I can customize the look of them which is nice.) This app is incredibly useful for me for both software development and day-to-day use. Once you've set it up, it feels like it's just native OS behavior. For my use, BetterSnapTool is invisible and just works in the background to perform actions when I use certain modifyer keys and keyboard shortcuts. I think this is one of the best apps that you can get for just a few dollars. select what happens when right-clicking any of the red/orange/green window buttons of any windowīetterSnapTool is very customizable and will change the way you work with your Mac!īetterSnapTool works with almost every application, only some apps with non-standard windows can't be supported.select what happens when double-clicking a window's titlebar.move or resize the window below the cursor while holding customizable modifier keys.always accessible pop up menu showing all possible snap sizes / positions.customizable keyboard shortcuts to trigger any snap area. These can resize & move windows to any possible position. If you need even more than those standard snap areas, BetterSnapTool now allows you to create your own, custom snap areas anywhere on your display. This enables you to easily maximize your windows, position them side by side or even resize them to quarters of the screen. So please, only real, actually helpful replies. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but it's just that I've been told by forums too many times in the past that the problem is probably my fault or the result of some other completely unrelated source, and they always end up wrong. I've not downloaded anything untrustworthy recently, so it couldn't be that, and my Computer can still download things just fine also (such as iTunes, the Steam downloader, etc.). Also, for the record, my Internet is DEFINITELY NOT the problem here, nor is my computer. Now that I've re-installed Steam deleted all my games and the problem still isn't fixed, I'm completely without any of the games in my Steam library. Re-installed Steam AGAIN this time, though, I removed EVERY instance of Steam and my games from my computer first (I saved all my game data to a flash drive beforehand) Re-installed Steam (was really reluctant to do this, because I knew it would delete all my games and I REALLY regret doing so, because now I have no games at all) Changed my download location from the default to "Russia - Moscow" (sounds weird, I know, but some people said that it fixed it for them) An absurd amount of patience and waiting Here's a list of what I've tried, none of which have made any difference: My Steam will not download any game updates. I have tried everything that I can think of and every "solution" that I've found on Steam Community, but nothing that I do fixes the problem.
